NEWS

I watch the same NEWS as you

You watch the same NEWS as me

Yet I don’t think we come that far

With rape, stabbings, shootings, war

Robbing, neglect, cruelty, police brutality

A turbulent sea of unethical behavior by

Political, governmental and business leaders

Religious fanaticism flying over the mark

The streets are filled with giant potholes

People are starving, soldiers and civilians dying

There’s some reported research – happiness found

Some good NEWS stories read with a smile

But all the while that’s what I strive for to have

And focus on her beauty – her redeeming truth

In her beauty and nurturing instincts, nurturing soul

While all around there’s devastation from abuse

What a waste of life, natural resources and honor

Whereas someday I hope to change the NEWS forever

Best of the Yellow Roses,
-light, love & joy-
