Intro to Tom Waits     ( http://www.tomwaits.com/ )

He sees you standing by the door
And stumbles over to tell you once more,
“I love you. I love you – forever more.”

The Devil is in the pale blue light – he’s there.
He takes your soul with just a simple stare
And controls your actions by commanding fear

What a drag. What a drag. So the piano player
He smokes his cigarettes while glaring at the
Guitar player’s frets and drinks his wine – All in time

The animal planet man now fat and bald - he lost his hair
From too much testosterone and combing in a circled mirror
Now he’s queer. Now he’s queer - under a top hat with his cats

And we all play ring around the rosey while the trombones groan
The tune to the game we all know and the bored ones moan – they moan
Can’t we do something else – The stock market is about to crash -once again

“Can’t we all just have some fun?!,” he’s pulled out one of his big guns
With the ghost of Bob Ford I’ll shoot you dead like I did before
All in the back like I did Mr. Jesse James – It’s my way – It’s my way

The women all leave him and walk out the door
And he stumbles over to try and tell them once more
“I love you. I love you – forever more.”

The Animal Planet man now fat and bald - he lost his hair
From too much testosterone and combing in a circled mirror
Now he’s queer. Now he’s queer - under a top hat with his cats

And in the end we all should know we don’t know for sure where to go
Just try to live a life where when you die everyone’s left crying but then
Dries their eyes and starts to laugh and begins saying, “remember when”

Remember when………… Remember when………..Remember when…………
Remember when………… Remember when………..Remember when…………
Remember when………… Remember when………..Remember when…………
